Waltham, Massachusetts-based Parametric Technology Corp has another taker for its Pro/Engineer mechanical design automation suite from Cummins Engine Company of Columbus, Indiana: the contract is valued at $1m over the next six months, and while Cummins currently uses a number of different systems worldwide for product design, it says its long-term objective is to standardise on a single technology for all its mechanical design activities.
