UK-based Currys and PC World online stores has announced the availability of the Cubify Cube 3D printer for online purchase at £1,195.

The online retailer has made the 3D printer available with 25 free 3D print files designed by professional artists.

The device is claimed to run on a software, which is compatible with both Mac and Windows and creates new files for printing through a personal device.

Features of the device include the Cube’s Wi-Fi facility, which enables users to send prints directly from the computer.

According to the company, the device is capable of creating objects that are 5.5-inch in size using 0.2mm thick layers of plastic using two common printing materials including acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) or polylactic acid (PLA).

The print cartridges are available in 16 colour options including regular, metallic and glowing varieties.
