Leeds-based Computer Service Technology Ltd has launched a Unix-to-ICL communications system, enabling Santa Cruz Operation Inc Unix users to access files and applications on ICL mainframes via X25 or ICL’s Oslan local area network; the product is actually owned by Hytec Ltd, but the version for Santa Cruz Unix was completed by Computer Service: intially the X25 and Oslan versions of the product will be available on the Altos 4000 and 5000 systems.
