The company claims that BlueCore player has an embedded DSP coprocessor and 16-bit stereo codec for high quality stereo sound. It supports Bluetooth audio video remote control profile (AVRCP) to control playback and volume control, and the advanced audio distribution profile (A2DP) for high quality audio streaming.

According to the company, BlueCore player is based on its BlueCore5-Multimedia External silicon, which integrates the 64MIPS DSP and interface with 32Mbit of external flash memory and supports audio applications and different language fonts. BlueCore5-Multimedia External is Bluetooth v2.1 compliant and also supports v2.0+EDR of the Bluetooth specification.

It also has organic light-emitting diode (OLED) color display with audio menu navigation and supports Asian and Arabic fonts. Other accessories include a lithium battery with on-chip charger and a mini USB charger connector.

BlueCore player is also available with audio menu navigation without a screen, which utilizes the text to speech (TTS) technology running in the on-chip digital signal processor.
