CSK OFFERS KEE ON SUN 3 UNIX WORKSTATION

Japan’s second largest software house, CSK Ltd – annual revenues $360m, annual growth rate 18%, has begun offering the KEE Knowledge Engineering Environment on the Sun Microsystems Sun 3 Unix workstation for users who want to run it alongside their CAD/CAM and software development work: KEE has hitherto been available only on specialist Lisp processors like the Symbolics 3600 and the Xerox 1108; the Sun 3 is marketed by C Itoh which has sold 800 of them so far; in Japan, KEE costs $82,000, Sun Common Lisp, $13,333, and the Sun 3/160 workstation is $68,316.
