CSC wins $1.2 billion extension contract from Bombardier

CSC has won a seven-year, $1.2bn IT outsourcing contract from Bombardier's operating group, Bombardier Transportation, extending a seven-year $700m agreement signed in 2002.

As part of the contract, the company will continue to provide Bombardier Transportation with infrastructure outsourcing services, providing desktop, service desk, network, and application management services for 20,000 users across 33 countries. The company will also provide overall integration for service ticket tracking and reporting.

Andre Navarri, president at Bombardier Transportation said: This renewed agreement with CSC will ensure that our employees have quality IT services and support, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year from anywhere in the world.

Michael Laphen, chairman, president and chief executive at CSC said: Our global IT services expertise and legacy of experience in the manufacturing and transportation industries position us well to help Bombardier achieve its business goals.
