CSC signs $17.6m contract with China Pacific Property Insurance

El Segundo, California-based Computer Sciences Corporation has signed a five-year, $17.6m software and services contract with China Pacific Property Insurance Company.

Under the terms of the contract, China Pacific Property Insurance Company

(CPPIC) will replace its current system with the web-enabled Futurefirst insurance administration system from the IT company, which is expected to administer over 13 million policies and help the insurer improve its products and services.

According to Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), the Futurefirst program is an application software that supports all lines of insurance business. CPPIC will use this new system to automate its general insurance process, including product development, new business, underwriting, customer service, distribution management, billing and collection and claims.

With the advanced Futurefirst system and competencies from CSC, we can meet the demands and challenges in the China insurance market with a much faster time to market and improved customer service, said Xia Lin, chairman of CPPIC. As a result, we can grow our businesses in the competitive insurance marketplace.
