Computer Sciences Corp, the El Segundo, California-based IT services company is hoping to benefit from the increasing demand for data processing outsourcing, according to the Merrill Lynch Technology Research Group. It is also trying toboost revenues by becoming an ERP applications service provider. The IRS is to announce the winner between Lockheed Martin and CSC on Thursday for a $3bn data center contract and CSC is also negotiating a consumer services applications outsourcing contract with AT&T. It is also expected to announce billion dollar deals in December and January according to Merrill Lynch. According to Les Echoes, the French daily, it is likely to win the $500m to $1bn IT services contract with Alcatel, the French telecoms equipment vendor.
