The Legal Solutions Suite is a web-based tool that includes features such as Legal e-Bill, Legal Bill Analyzer and Legal Matter Manager. According to Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), tt is designed to automate core legal management processes and provide integrated electronic invoicing to help insurers work more effectively with their law firms.
MAG Mutual said it will integrate the platform with CSC’s Point In policy and claims management software, which it has been using since 1996, in order to enhance its loss adjustment expense cost controls. The firm also hopes to provide additional value to its defense attorneys by offering productivity gains and advanced technology through electronic invoicing and systems access.
The PMA Insurance Group is planning to deploy the Legal e-Bill and Legal Bill Analyzer to manage its legal expenditures and automate its litigation management program. Automated bill review lets case managers set guidelines for rates and allowable charges by outside counsel. Outside law firms can then review their invoices before they submit them over the internet.
