CSC and Avaya have entered into an agreement to expand CSC’s unified communications portfolio with new Communications Enabled Applications (CEA) and services based on the Avaya Agile Communications Environment(ACE).
CSC’s Unified Communications and Collaboration services feature a suite of both ready-to-use communications-enabled applications and customisable application integration offerings. Avaya ACE is the newest addition to CSC’s Unified Communications portfolio.
According to Avaya, the ACE is an open software platform for building communications enabled applications in a multi-vendor environment using web services and standards-based service oriented architecture interfaces. The CEA offering is a managed service that uses Avaya’s technology as a key component of the offering and provides an open, application delivery environment that integrates disparate platforms, bringing together users and groups, applications and business processes.
The CEA offering comprises of four key services including business consulting, design and implementation, application development, customisation, integration and support and managed services.
