Computer Sciences Corp, soon after fending off a hostile takeover bid by Computer Associates International Inc, has made an acquisition of its own, buying web-focused consultancy and systems integrator Onward Technologies Inc for an undisclosed price. Onward, based in Natick, Massachusetts, specializes in internet marketing, electronic commerce and customer extranets. CSC will integrate the 50-person staff of Onward into the E- Wave online business services program recently implemented by its consulting and systems integration division. No information was available on the closing date or how the transaction will be handled.
