Under the terms of the deal, CSC and Telkom will create and manage a single, shared data and voice network infrastructure, and provide of data and voice services, network security and help desk support to Old Mutual and Nedbank’s operations in South Africa.

CSC will act as the single point of communication on the contract, and will provide LAN management, support and helpdesk services. Telkom will manage and support the client’s WAN and voice services, and implement a centralized telephone management system.

El Segundo, California-based CSC said its share would be worth about $125m. CSC is currently in the final years of a $300m, seven-year infrastructure management deal with Old Mutual that was signed in 1999.
