CSC, a provider of technology-enabled offerings and services, has won a task order from the US Army to provide technical and engineering support for the Army’s Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC).

The firm said that the five-year task order has an estimated total value of $224m and it awarded under the US Army Aviation and Missile Command’s Expedited Professional and Engineering Support Services blanket purchase agreement, which CSC won in 2005.

Under the terms of the agreement, CSC will provide technical and engineering services in the areas of integration, computer, navigation and control technologies; and electronics and system design.

AMRDEC, which is headquartered in Huntsville, Ala., is a subordinate laboratory to the Research, Development and Engineering Command. It provides research, development and engineering technology and services for the Army’s aviation and missile platforms.

Randy Cash, vice president and general manager of CSC’s North American Public Sector Huntsville Alabama Operations, said: "For nearly 40 years, CSC has proudly supported the Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center. We look forward to continuing our support of the US Army and the warfighter through technology and weapon system solutions to ensure the highest quality mission support to soldiers on the battlefield."
