CSC unveils BizCloud in UK

Allows businesses to keep data and applications close to the enterprise

By CBR Staff Writer

CSC has launched its cloud computing offering for enterprises, ‘BizCloud’, in the UK, Germany, Italy and Spain.

CSC BizCloud is a private cloud, billed as a service from a standard rate card and ready for workloads in just 10 weeks.

BizCloud allows businesses to keep the data and applications close to the enterprise, said CSC.

CSC and its partners will provide the infrastructure for the offering. And the rate card has 4 bands, with the pricing beginning at £29 per month.

CSC global vice-president of cloud computing and software services Siki Giuntu told Computing that the service will provide customisation for particular business processes, apps and unusual storage capacity requirements.

"However, maximum return on investment is achieved via standardisation and we are looking to keep customisation down to between 20 or 30 per cent," she said.
