CSC has introduced the Java version of POINT IN, which supports end-to-end processing for all lines of insurance coverage.

The new offering provides choice to clients by offering a new option that runs on the Microsoft Windows platform with a SQL Server database, in addition to the currently supported IBM and Oracle/Sun Microsystems platforms.

POINT IN includes enhanced configuration tools that allow carriers to create their own rules or use one of the hundreds pre-built into the system; and with improved graphical interfaces, these tools streamline the introduction of new products and lines of business, the company said.

CSC property and casualty insurance division president Jeffery Schwalk said with POINT IN now available on the Microsoft platform, the company continues to deliver modern, flexible and highly configurable offerings to ensure clients can respond to changing market conditions quickly and position themselves for continued growth."

Microsoft worldwide financial services general manager Karen Cone said they are seeing a growing demand from insurance carriers for modern, more agile and configurable policy administration systems and CSC’s delivery of POINT IN on Microsoft technology provides carriers with a new compelling option.
