US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has awarded a three year task order to information technology (IT) and business services company CSC to continue to operate and maintain USCIS’ Verification Information System (VIS).
The three-year task order has a one-year base period, a one-year option and two six-month options, bringing the estimated total three-year to $67m, and the task order was awarded under the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions (EAGLE).
Under task order, CSC will provide program management, research and analysis, operations, maintenance, security and user access for VIS and these services are used by several USCIS programs, including the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program and E-Verify.
With SAVE program, agencies can determine the immigration status of benefit applicants to ensure that only entitled applicants receive public benefits and licenses whereas E-Verify is an online system that allows businesses to verify the US work eligibility of new employees.
CSC’s Border and Immigration Center of Excellence tracks new and emerging technologies and develops concepts of operation to support current and future business requirements.
