CROSS & IBM LAUNCH NEW CROSSPAD PDN

By CBR Staff Writer

The Cross Pen Computing Company has introduced a new version of its CrossPad Portable Digital Notebook (PDN), the XP, developed in collaboration with IBM. Corp. The 1Mb PDN is 30% smaller than the original CrossPad (CI No 3,448) which means that it is slightly smaller than an letter size/A4 pad and weighs 1.5lbs. Like its older sibling, the XP allows the user to write notes that download to a Windows PC, using normal paper and ink, albeit with a specially developed pen. The PDN can store up to 80 pages of single-spaced hand written notes. It connects to a PC via a 9-pin port. The CrossPad XP costs $400.
