Croatia has slipped out from under in the chaos that has afflicted much of what was once Jugoslavia, and is energetically rebuilding and modernising: the Croatian Post & Telecommunication Authority has ordered four international AXE telephone exchanges from L M Ericsson Telefon AB for the Republic of Croatia, to be installed in Zagreb, Rijeka, Split and Osijek; the exchanges are to be delivered from Ericsson’s Sweden base and Nikola Tesla – which has been an Ericsson licensee since 1953 – in Zagreb.
