Durham, North Carolina-based Cree Research Inc warns it expects a loss of $0.02 to $0.05 per share for the fourth quarter ended June 30, due to higher costs associated with production of its blue light-emitting diodes. Cree said it shipped slightly more than 3m super-bright diodes in the fourth quarter against 1.5m in the third quarter.
