Advanced Micro Devices Inc’s court victory over Intel Corp may be subject to appeal, but Moody’s Investors Service Inc reckons that it is a major victory for the Sunnyvale chipmaker and has upgraded the Sunnyvale company’s depository convertible exchangeable preferred stock to B1 from B2. The ratings agency noted that in addition to the victory, the company’s prospects are enhanced by the likelihood that other manufacturers will be willing to form partnerships with Advanced Micro.
