Western Digital Corp, Irvine may be rewarded for strenghthening its balance sheet through selling assets, issuing equity and reducing its debt burden by seeing its triple-C-plus subordinated debt rating move to a single-B, says Standard & Poor’s Corp. However before the company can start throwing hats in the air, it must prove itself by enhancing its competitive position and maintain profitability and cash flow from internal operations during the current unpredictable industry conditions.
