By CBR Staff Writer

Internet telephony has not exactly set the world alight yet, but Creative Technology Ltd hopes that if it prices the technology to go, people will at least to try it. The Singapore company yesterday came out with a software only Internet video telephone for Windows personal computers with an introductory price of $10. The Creative Video WebPhone, Personal Version is described as easy to use, and enabling users to see and speak to another person anywhere in the world for the price of the local Internet connection. Users will see the person they are speaking with in full color at up to 12 frames a second, it said. It will go via its distribution network in the US in mid-March. A more advanced version will be available for $50, it added.
