Creative Labs Inc, the Milpitas, California-based subsidiary of Singapore-based Creative Technology Ltd is hoping to cash in on the Video For Windows market by bundling its best selling Video Blaster video capturing add-in board for personal computers with Microsoft Corp’s new digital video software. Current Video Blaster users are also to be offered aggressively priced copies of Video for Windows. Video Blaster enables users to combine full-motion NTSC or PAL video with computer-generated graphics and animations. The board offers two audio inputs that can be used with external sources, and with Creative Labs’s CD-ROM drive, Sound Blaster, Sound Blaster Pro Basic, or Sound Blaster Pro audio systems. Video Blaster also provides a digital and analogue mixer with programmable individual and master volume controls. No details on the Neanderthal prices offered.
