Chapel Hill, North Carolina-based Creative Interaction Technologies Inc is offering a new version of its Windows-based AshWin automated batch scheduling software with support for personal computers networked across Unix, Windows NT, AS/400 and OS/2 environments. AshWin 2.0 includes a new tree view that shows all AshWin-available systems on a network and ties into Microsoft Corp’s System Management Server, identifying all machines by class that are available for load balancing. It also has a new notification feature that sends a message over electronic mail, beeper, telephone, facsimile, NT Event Log or NetView Alert to inform the user of completed jobs or problems. A five-user licence is from $5,000.
