Cray Research Inc said it will take a charge against 1995 earnings to cover the cost of the restructuring steps it is taking to improve efficiency and achieve a competitive cost structure, but it expects theyear to break even operationally as it makes the transition to the new high-end product line code-named Triton, which is expected to ship in volume the second half of 1995; Cray reckons it is now a leader in massively parallel processing systems about a year after announcing its first product, the T3D and expects to report sales of such systems greater than $120m in 1994; it has 75 orders for the J916, which is due to ship next quarter and the CS6400 is expected to deliver more than $40m in orders in its first 12 months of availability and the Triton already has four orders.
