Cray Electronics (Holdings) Plc has announced the first moves to integrate newly acquired Dowty Communications Ltd – as expected, Dowty and Craycom will be merged to form Cray Communications Ltd and the new company will have four operating subsidiaries: Cray Communications UK, USA and Australia; the fourth will be Dowty’s Danish acquisition, which will be dubbed Cray Network Systems; Ray Piggot, erstwhile chief executive of Craycom becomes chief executive of Cray Communications UK; Bill Bayly of Dowty takes charge of manufacturing; perhaps tellingly, the new company’s list of five primary aims begins with a management structure with clear authority and responsibility.
