Cray Research Inc has raised its estimate for 1992 sales of the entry-level Cray Y-MP EL supercomputer to at least 120 systems, up from the a previous estimate of about 100 systems: both estimates assume approximately 60 systems to be shipped to Digital Equipment Corp for distribution during the second half of the year; with the DEC order and about 30 additional sales by Cray, the company reported approximately 90 Y-MP EL orders during the first half to June 30.
