Cray Research Inc plans to buy in up to 1.5m additional shares of common or convertible debentures in addition to the 575,000 shares left under previous authority: the buybacks would be made from time to time, depending on prices and market conditions, but the supercomputer maker did not say whether the shares would be cancelled or used for employee share or option plans.
