Cray Research Inc is not letting the matter of the supercomputer contract with Japan’s National Institute for Fusion Science rest, despite the finding of the panel appointed to investigate it that NEC Corp won the contract fairly and squarely: on Thursday last week, US trade representative Carla Hills asked Japan for immediate talks over the rejection; NEC dismissed the plaint as sour grapes.
