Cray Research Inc, Eagan, Minnesota reports that it has installed its first supercomputer in Thailand: the Cray EL98 air-cooled compact supercomputer was installed at the High Performance Computing Center in Bangkok and will be used by the National Electronics & Computer Technology Centre of Thailand for computational chemistry, computational physics, mathematical modelling and computer science; the financial terms were not disclosed.
