Clarifying the situation on Cray Research Inc’s plans to build high-end servers using the Sparc (CI No 1,844), the company stresses that the effort is not related to its plans to do a massively parallel machine – which suggests that the latter may still use the forthcoming Digital Equipment Corp Alpha.
