Cray Research Inc has definitive agreement to acquire Savant Systems Inc, a privately-held Dallas consulting firm specialising in transaction processing and database. Terms were not disclosed. Savant, with about 40 employees, is an Oracle Preferred Systems Integrator. The firm becomes Savant/CraySolutions.
