And Eagan, Minnesota-based Cray Research Inc released the Fortran 6.0 Programming Environment, which for the first time combines the newest version of the company’s Cray Fortran 77 compiler and the Fortran software tools, features and libraries in one program: Cray says the CF77 compiler, the main component of the integrated CF77 Programming Environment, uses advanced parallel detection techniques to take advantage of parallelism of the Cray supercomputers.
