CRAY ELECTRONIC COMMENTS ON YEAR-END FIGURES

Commenting on the group’s end of year figures (see Company Results p5) B P Collins, chairman and chief executive of Chertsey, Surrey based Cray Electronic Holdings Plc, said that the company had enjoyed growth across both existing and newly acquired businesses in a year that saw numerous acquisitions including software systems house Marcol Group Plc, as well as Dynamic Logic, Lloyd Instruments, ACE Packaging Designs and W & J Tod: the only black spot was Defence Systems which saw a reduction in its volume of sub-contract business but says that it is now concentrating on developing proprietary technology and addressing overseas markets.
