Cray Research Inc said Hawtal Whiting Group Ltd, engineering design consultancy, installed a Cray EL98 departmental supercomputer at its Basildon, Essex headquarters and has ordered the next-generation system due in 1995; its clients include car manufacturers; the value of the order was not disclosed.
