Clutching at straws, the Colorado Springs, Colorado-based Cray Computer Corp reports that the Cray-3 supercomputer at the US National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado has successfully run several software benchmarks that exploit the full four-processor, 128M-word configuration and that the Cray-3 is meeting its performance goals; the machine is on loan to the centre for demonstration and evaluation purposes.
