CPT Corp of Minneapolis expects its agreement in principle to buy fellow word processor manuacturer AES Data Inc to be ratified by AES’s owner Canada Development Corp (CI No 627) within the next four weeks. European managing director Mike Arnold, who ironically was a senior manager at Wordplex when it was combined for two and half years with AES in the early 1980s, says that AES will be a good fit for CPT as it is strong in those countries where CPT is weak, and vice versa.
