The Cox Cable Communications arm of Cox Enterprises Inc, Atlanta, is in talks with Southwestern Bell Corp to invest $300m to become a partner in the St Louis Baby Bell’s cable television franchises in the UK, the Wall Street Journal hears. Neither party is commenting on the talks, but word is that the partners would seek to acquire additional UK systems and build new ones.
