Plant engineering company Cotex Co is to remarket the S-1 X-MP-compatible Crayette from Supertek Computers Inc, which is marketed in Japan by Yokogawa-Supertek: the machine is touted in Japan as offering a fifth the power of a Cray at one sixteenth the price, and the new pact is the company’s second value-added reseller agreement following the one signed with Nippon Steel Co in May, just before the Yokogawa joint venture was formed; Cotex moved into the computer business last year and been selling product management software; it is primarily an engineering firm fitting out steelworks and chemical plants; it also has agreements with software developer and consultancy company M N Dastur & Co Pte Ltd, which is based in Calcutta, India.
