A provider of trade inspection, security and certification Cotecna chose software from SAP for its financial management processes spanning actuals, budgets and forecasts. The SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation application, financial planning is now faster and simpler than before, according to SAP. The company says the application has helped Cotecna identify unprofitable business activities and take the necessary steps to improve overall performance.
Key reasons for choosing SAP management solutions included flexibility; ease of use; unified planning, consolidation and reporting in a single application; ease of implementation; regulatory compliance; and the ability to scale with the company’s growth, the German-based ERP provider said.
The application also is said to provide support for International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), which was must-have for Cotecna, a Swiss based company.
