Joe Costello, the high-profile former president and CEO of Cadence Design Systems Inc, has joined the board of front office systems house Clarify Inc. Costello left Cadence last year, and is now managing director and chairman of Cad.Lab Inc, the Italian computer-aided design outfit. Front office software is not something normally associated with the outspoken Costello, but at the start of the year he joined the board of Zamba Inc – the new name for Minneapolis, mobile data communications specialists Racotek Inc – which is in the process of moving from a product company to a service supplier focusing on customer care, and currently implementing Claify’s software at a number of companies.
