Cosmote and Nokia continue close relationship with EUR140m deal

Nokia has signed a deal worth EUR140 million, to expand Greek Cosmote's GSM 1800 network.

The deal has already started as Nokia have started the delivery of a range of infrastructure projects. As part of the agreement Nokia will go on to provide its UltraSite base station solution, which can support GSM, High Speed Data, GPRS, EDGE and WCDMA for 3G technologies.

The two companies have a history of working together, since Cosmote’s creation in 1998.
