Corvil describes itself as a developer of quality, bandwidth and traffic (QBT) management for IP networks, a market which tends to grow as more enterprises and carriers move to converged networks, with voice as well as data running over IP.
The Corvil product suite CorvilNet was launched in July last year to provide service level management for IP networks. It encompasses Corvil’s patented algorithms for the measurement and statistical analysis of packet-switched traffic. Corvil has a unique disruptive technology base from which it is addressing a large market, argued Richard Wilson, a partner at Apax.
