WordStar International Inc’s new Sausalito, California-based Writing Tools Group has announced that Correct Grammar 2.0, a grammar checking application for the Macintosh, will be bundled with Claris Corp’s MacWrite II word processor; both MacWrite II and Correct Grammar are compatible with Apple’s System 7, and customers that buy MacWrite II after May 13 will receive a free copy of Correct Grammar, normally priced at $100; also, WordStar is shipping Correct Grammar for Windows, and a new version of MacWrite that exploits System 7.0.; MacWrite Pro, a rewritten version of MacWrite II, is intended to be used as a control hub for creating compound documents within workgroups; MacWrite Pro uses text and graphics frames to assemble a document and users can wrap text around any graphic object; it is $250 but current users of Version II and several Mac word processors can upgrade at $70.
