Document imaging and monitor maker Cornerstone Imaging Inc has changed its name to Input Software Inc, following the sale of its display division in a management buyout. Input begins trading on Nasdaq under a new listing symbol, INPT from September 15 and will focus in the future on enterprise imaging software. The San Jose, California-based firm agreed to sell off its display division to the existing management back in April. That side of the business, which was founded in 1986, continues to trade under the name Cornerstone Peripherals Technology Inc as a private company. Input sold off some assets to the spin-off and provided $1m of equity capital. It retains a minority stake. Input posted a loss of $2.2m in its first quarter in connection with the sale, which had a net value of approximately $10.7m.
