CORDLESS STANDARD “NEXT WEEK”

The main protagonists in the planned CT2 cordless phone business were yesterday quick to refute a report in the Financial Times that the standard proposed by British Telecom and STC for the cordless phone system had been adopted. GEC Plessey Telecommunications said that three standards were at issue and only one had been agreed – but that standards will be agreed next week.
