Corba 3, the latest version of the Common Object Request Broker specification which the Object Management Group first previewed last October (CI No 3,492), is currently being held up by continuing discussions over the component model and the strongly- related Corba component scripting. Both are going well according to OMG chief Richard Soley, and the specification should be cleared by March.
