By CBR Staff Writer

Social media and eReading platform provider Copia has unveiled social eReader, a touch-optimised client application for Windows 7, which support IE9 for the Copia Web Portal.

The Copia platform will be showcased on new Windows 7 tablets and multiple Windows 7 devices at Copia’s and Microsoft’s CES 2011 exhibit, the company said.

Copia’s family of Windows 7 applications enables users to access Copia with a user experience across digital touch points produced by Microsoft’s brand partners with support for IE9, a native desktop client, a native touch client and support for Windows Phone 7.

IE9 will enable Copia users with access to activity streams, catalogues, and notebooks, enabling them to keep up with their friends and reading groups, while transforming eReading experience to a social and sharing experience, the company said.

Copia Interactive executive vice president Ben Lowinger said Copia’s social eReading experience combined with Windows 7 devices and tablets will change the way users enjoy books, magazines, and other digital content and how they share and interact with that content with their friends and others.
