Convergent Technologies has introduced the Server PC, a 20MHz 80386-based box that runs the CTIX/386 implementation of Unix System V.3, and Merge 386 for PC-DOS applications, so that it doubles as a Unix machine – up to 32 users, and a Personal Computer server – up to 64 – or a combination of the two. It is $7,500 with 4Mb, 64Kb writeback cache, 80Mb disk and 10 AT slots.
