Control Solutions launches Intelligent Documents for Audit

Control Solutions International, a provider of risk and control solutions, has launched its Intelligent Documents for Audit, supported by Knowledge Control Systems, a provider of governance, risk, and compliance management solutions.

According to the company, based on the Generica Pro suite from Knowledge Control Systems (KCS), Intelligent Documents enables auditors and managers to conduct audits and implement action plans using everyday, familiar software, without jumping from one application window to another.

Using simple commands integrated into their existing toolbars, auditors select relevant key controls right from documents and e-mails and turn them into ‘managed information objects.’ Then with one click, they create audit plans as intelligent documents, with the selected key controls embedded as ‘living,’ actionable objects, said Control Solutions.

Managers receive audit reports and action plans as Intelligent Documents, out of which they can assign and communicate responsibilities, priorities and timelines. From the Intelligent Documents, they can also connect to browser-based dashboards that provide personalized views of execution status and timelines of action plans, facilitate notification of responsible parties, and generate alerts on overdue tasks, added Control Solutions.

Justin Morrow, partner for marketing and solution management at Control Solution, said: This solution will have a significant impact on our clients’ audit operations. With the options of a custom installation on site or an on-demand service hosted by Control Solutions, intelligent documents provide a way to manage all critical audit components.
